1:00PM – Full Ensemble Report Time / Stretch & Warm Up
2:00PM – “Pre-Game” Ceremony
2:30PM – Load Buses/Depart
4:00PM – Arrive/Unload/Bathroom
5:00PM – Go to warm up area
5:15PM – WARM UP
6:00PM – “The PRIDE” takes the field in competition!!!!!  GO PRIDE GO!!!!!
 
*Immediately after our performance, we will load up all equipment.  Students will keep their uniforms for a group picture on the 50-yard line following the awards ceremony. 
 
9:00PM – Awards Ceremony
10:00PM – Load Buses and return to Southside HS
 
Trussville Marching Invitational Details and General Information
  •  All band buses will need to enter Husky Parkway via Deerfoot Parkway. Deerfoot Parkway is located off of I-59 exit 143.
  •  All buses will turn into Hewitt-Trussville High School at the first entrance on the right. Proceed down the road to the second left.
  •  Each band will check in at the tent located in front of Hewitt-Trussville High School and then your buses will be guided to bus parking next to the stadium.
  •  Students and chaperones will be given an arm band at registration that will allow them access into the stadium.
  •  Your student guide will meet you at the bus parking area once you arrive and help you to the changing areas, restrooms, and warm-up area.
Front Ensemble, Podiums, and Equipment
We will provide trailers to pull your equipment to the warm up area and field for the performance. You will be met at your equipment truck by one of our volunteers upon arrival in the bus/equipment truck parking area.
 
Changing and Restrooms
Changing rooms and restrooms will be available in the Trussville Civic Center located adjacent to the bus/equipment truck parking area. Your band guide will help you get to these areas.
Warm-Up Field
  •  We will utilize the field located in front of bus parking for our warm up areas. Please be aware this is our soccer team’s competition field and help us out by making everyone aware to not damage the field.
  •  Water will be located outside the warm-up area for your band to have going in or out of warm-up.
  •  Your student guide will give you a 5 minute notice before your warm up time is ending and to get ready for staging. Thank you in advance for helping us keep things running on time.
Performance
  •  Hewitt Trussville Husky Stadium. (Standard artificial turf football field clearly marked every five yards with high school hash marks.) Bands must enter, perform, and exit within the 15 minute performance time allowed. ALL show related materials must be removed at the conclusion of the performance.
  •  Band entrance will be from front far corner of “Side 2”(see map) band exit will be front far corner of “Side 1” (see map)
  •  Please note that front ensemble equipment will need to exit back towards “Side 2” where the trailers will load and drive them back to your equipment truck.
Band Seating Areas
Each band has been assigned a specific seating area. Please see map attached to this email for your band’s assigned seating area for the day. This area will be clearly marked however it will not be monitored by Hewitt Trussville representatives.
Awards Ceremony
  •  Prior to the awards ceremony we ask that all student representatives that will be going on the field to receive the awards please report to the area behind the visitor’s section. We will line everyone up in order of performance and “parade” onto the field together.
  •  In addition to the awards listed originally on the TMI website we will award 2 Grand Champion Trophies.
  •  An Overall Grand Champion for the A/AA Divisions.
  •  An Overall Grand Champion for the AAA/AAAA Divisions.
  •  These awards will be decided by averaging band, highest auxiliary score (excluding feature twirler), and percussion scores together.
General Information
  •  A menu with pricing for our concessions is also attached to this email. Our concessions will accept cash or credit/debit card.
  •  There will be vendors located behind and under the home bleachers for your students. TMI Competition shirts and other souvenir items will be available.
  •  We will have emergency medical/paramedic available throughout the day located in the north end zone of the stadium.
  •  Spectator parking will be concentrated in front of the stadium and at Hewitt-Trussville HS, just a short walk to the stadium. Golf cart shuttle service will be running throughout the day as well. There is no charge for parking. Please pass this information along to your parents.
  •  Handicap parking is available right at the front entrance of the stadium.
  •  General admission tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
