Wind Ensemble

​The Southside HS Wind Ensemble is the premier band of two full concert ensembles at Southside.  It is an audition based ensemble comprised of musicians in grades 9-12.  Formed in 2015, the Wind Ensemble is one of the finest ensembles in Alabama and has continued the Southside Band's proud tradition of earning superior ratings at Alabama State Music Performance Assessment.  In 2018, the Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Alabama Music Educators In-Service Conference in Birmingham, AL.

The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Matt Weaver. ​
