PLEASE SEE THE INFORMATION BELOW ABOUT THE UAB HONOR BAND! "Alabama Band Directors: This is just a friendly reminder that the nomination process for both high school and middle school honor bands will close on Monday, October 24th. We are very excited to be able to host our Honor Band Festival this December. This will be a combined event consisting of two middle and two high school bands December 8-10, 2022. Nominations for the 2022 UAB Middle and High School Honor Bands are now open. We hope you’ll consider nomination your top students for this event. Please follow the links below for further details about the nomination process.
All participants will be notified of their status before November 18th. The 2022 UAB Middle and High School Honor Bands will consist of four bands: two middle school and two high school. Auditions for band and chair placement will begin Thursday, December 8th, at 11:30 am. All four bands will rehearse Thursday through Saturday (December 8-10). The concert will be held Saturday, December 10th at 4:00 pm in the Jemison Concert Hall of the UAB Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center.
