The Southside High School Band, The PRIDE of Southside, is a world-class, award-winning high school music program serving 150 students in grades 9-12. The program strives to give all students a comprehensive music education while instilling important life skills necessary for becoming productive citizens.
The PRIDE Music Association INC. – Band Booster Club The PMA Band Boosters is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization whose mission is to provide logistical, financial, and moral support to the Southside Band. We raise money to purchase musical instruments and pay for repairs, marching uniforms, new instruments, and more. Our fundraising goal for the year is $65,000. |
It takes approximately $60,000 per year to run the Southside band program. The school district does not fund any of this expense. Membership fees bring in roughly $30k, which means each year, we need to raise approximately $30,000 to $35,000!
