IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. ONLINE CALENDAR: Please check our online calendar frequently online at http://www.shs-band.com/calendar.html  
2. MPA Preview Concert/PMA Meeting: The RMS Advanced Band & both high school bands will present a preview show of our MPA programs at 6pm on Thursday, Feb. 22nd in the SHS Biddle Auditorium.  No admission will be charged.  We will have a panel of guest judges to help give comments and suggestions.  During intermission, we will hold our February Band Booster meeting.  Please come out and join us.      ​
   
3. “PANTHER PROWL” 5K RUN:  The PRIDE Music Association will be hosting a 5k Run on Feb. 24, 2018.  This event will help our booster organization raise funds for a much needed equipment truck.  For more information, www.shs-band.com/blog/5k-panther-prowl or contact Joan Coker at [email protected].  Please help us spread the word, especially if you know of any potential sponsors.  All students are expected to be present and help with this event.  Students are welcomed to participate as runners or help out in various other ways.  A detailed list of student jobs will be posted once the registration deadline has passed.  Please make plans to attend & to help make this a fun community event!   
4. MPA Schedule: The District has released our actual MPA performance schedule.  Please check our online calendar, which has been updated.  The Symphonic Band performs March 1st at 3:30pm, and the Wind Ensemble on March 2nd at 6pm.  All performances will be held in the Gadsden City High School and are free to the public.  Remember, that State Assessment is a graded requirement for all band members. ​
   
5. WIND ENSEMBLE TEE SHIRTS:  There is a special Wind Ensemble tee shirt for sale to commemorate their AMEA performance.  Both short and long sleeve options are available.  Order forms are available online at http://www.shs-band.com/blog/wind-ensemble-tee-shirt-order-forms
