“The PRIDE” of Southside Attendance Policy Because of the nature of our activity, and the number of members that we have to coordinate “The PRIDE” has a very strict attendance policy. All members must be at all rehearsals and performances. Members and potential members are expected and required to work their schedules accordingly. If any conflict arises, please let us know as soon as possible. Tip for Enjoying Marching Band Marching Band operates outside. We live in Alabama. Alabama is hot outside. These are facts. We cannot change them.
The PRIDE is an amazing group to be a part of and we guarantee that students will make memories here that will last them a lifetime. However, if students are not prepared for the heat and other realities of being outside during the summer months they will not enjoy band. We strongly urge everyone to spend some time outdoors before Rookie Camp to acclimate his or her body to the weather. We want everyone to enjoy band and all of the opportunities that it brings.
