LABOR DAY: No School 
 
 
TUES 9/5
Marching Band Rehearsal: 3:15 – 5:30pm 
 
WED 9/6 (3RD QT. Meal $ Due)
Marching Band Rehearsal: 3:15 – 5:00pm 
*Please bring bibbers & shoes to rehearsal
 
 
THURS 9/7 - (Check Out Notes Due)
Marching Band Rehearsal: 5:45 – 8:30pm 
(Rainbow Middle School Stadium)
 

 
FRI 9/8 SOUTHSIDE @ FORT PAYNE
Report Time: 3:45pm seated and dressed in band room
The PMA Boosters will feed all students immediacy after school.  All students should remain at SHS after 7th period. 

Departure: 4:30pm – DON’T FORGET ANYTHING!
Arrival / Unload: 6:00pm
Kick Off: 7:00pm GO PANTHERS!
Dismissal: 11:30ish *Students will be dismissed as a group from the band room.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. UPDATED SEPTEMBER CALENDAR: There is a printable version of our September calendar available online at: http://www.shs-band.com/calendar.html *Please note, that the calendar will continue to evolve and change as the year continues.  Keep a watchful eye out and check the calendar often.  ***NOTE THE COUNTY EXPO IS NOW TUESDAY SEP. 19TH 
2. ALL-STATE BAND: We want to encourage every student to audition for the Alabama All-State & District II Honor Band!  Information has been published online at: http://www.shs-band.com/blog/all-state-band-2018-info
3. CHECKOUT NOTES: Students wanting to checkout with their parents after the game must bring a signed note of permission to the band office no later than Thursday.  Students will only be allowed to check out with a parent or a legal guardian.   
4. JSU BAND DAY: The annual JSU Band Day will be held Sat. September 23rd at Jacksonville State.  More info at: http://www.shs-band.com/blog/jsu-band-day-2017-info  
5. BIBBER LENGTH: Parents, please help us by doubled checking the length of you child’s bibbers.  Some of our pants are too long.  The hem of the pant should just barley make contact with the shoe.  Students who’s bibbers are too long on Friday must have them fixed before they will be allowed to perform.
