Student Committees – BETA SHIFT

MON 9/12
Marching Band Rehearsal: 3:15 – 5:30pm 

 
TUES 9/13 (JSU Band Day $20 to PMA due)
ETOWAH CO. MARCHING BAND/CHEER EXPO – GCHS TITAN STADIUM
1917 Black Creek Parkway, Gadsden, AL. – Admission $5
 
Report Time: 4:15pm seated and dressed (halves) in band room (BLACK MEMBER SHIRT)

Departure: 4:45pm
Warm Up/National Anthem Rehearsal: 5:30pm
Combined National Anthem: 6:30pm
The PRIDE performs: 8:15pm
Return: 9:00pm (Approx.)
 
WED 9/14
No Rehearsal
 
THURS 9/15
Marching Band Rehearsal: 3:15 – 5:30pm 
Colorguard Sectional: 6-7:30pm 
 
FRI 9/16 – Open Week
Concert attire fitting during class (9-12th graders only)
No Rehearsal, enjoy the break!
 
SAT 9/17 – JSU Band Day

1. Band Calendar: There are printable versions of each months calendar available online at: http://www.shs-band.com/calendar.html

1. Practice Records:  Practice records are due Monday each week for all Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble members.  Symphonic Band records should be turned into Mrs. Palmer; Wind Ensemble records should be turned into Mr. Weaver. 

1. Student Committees: Every student has been added to a special committee with an important assignment.  There are three teams or shifts for each committee.  The week it is the Alpha Team’s turn.  More info at: http://www.shs-band.com/blog/2016-marching-band-student-committees

1. Parent Check Out Notes:  Parents who wish to take their children home after the game may do so by signing out their child with Mrs. Hamilton at Bus 1.  Students must turn in a signed note to the band office by Friday morning stating that their parents will check them out.  Parents may also send the directors an email stating that they will check out their child.  Students will only be allowed to leave with a parent or legal guardian.
