BAND SCHEDULE – WEEK OF:  November 7th, 2016

MON 11/7
Recording Day!
3:15-5:00
Mandatory for all marching band members! We need all present for a confident recording!
 
TUES 11/8
PRIDE Parade Rehearsal
3:15-5:00pm
Also, election day! Get out and vote!
 
WED 11/9
SHS Veterans Program / Gadsden Veteran’s Parade
(The SHS Veterans Program will begin at 9am in the auditorium.  Wind Ensemble & percussion are participating in this event.  Those students should wear their concert attire to school and change into their marching uniform after the program is completed.)

• School dismisses at 12:00. At this time, all students are to report to the band room to get dressed. Middle School students are to ride the transfer bus to SHS.
• Seated in FULL UNIFORM-12:30
• Buses arrive-12:45
• Depart for Gadsden-1:00
• Arrive at Parade Site-1:45
• Parade Begins-2:00; The PRIDE is number 17 this year. 
• Students will be bused back to SHS after the parade. 

 
THURS 11/10
Wind Ensemble Veteran’s Day Performance at John Jones Elementary

• W.E. students and participating percussionists will be dismissed early from 6th period to the Bandroom. 
• Students should bring their concert attire to school to change into. 
• Students will be bussed to and from JSJ.
• Students will return to SHS before the end of 7th period.

1. Band Calendar: There are printable versions of each month’s calendar available online at: http://www.shs-band.com/calendar.html
   
   
2. Practice Records:  Practice records are due Monday each week for all Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble members.  Symphonic Band records should be turned into Mrs. Palmer; Wind Ensemble records should be turned into Mr. Weaver. 

1. Chocolate Sale: Our chocolate sale is officially over. Remember that all money for boxes checked out ($60 per box) should be returned ASAP.
